Lizard Music by D. Manus Pinkwater (a.k.a Daniel Pinkwater)

When Victor's parents leave for vacation on their own, and his sister (and caretaker) suddenly leaves on a camping trip with her friends, Victor is far from upset. He is eager to explore the advantages of his new freedom. These include watching telivision as late as he wants. While doing so, late at night, a show he's never seen before comes on. Several lizards, with various instruments playing a strange music Victor has never heard before. He is catapaulted into a fantastic journey to an invisible island in the middle of Lake Mishagoo, guided by The Chicken Man (representing Claudia the dancing chicken), to find out the secret of the lizards.

Comments:
OK, so, I'm hooked! But is it funny or spooky, or just as very wierd as it sounds???
:)
And did you like it?

I loved it! It is very weird, and very funny, like most of Daniel Pinkwater's books. He writes a lot of reeealy short novels, then puts them into giant treasurys (Creatively named 'Four Novels' and 'Five Novels'). You should definetly read those. :)

GA! School starts today.... oooh, Im scared....

Aren't you just a little bit excited, too? You're so smart, you shouldn't be scared! :)
Are you going to a new school?

I know i'm posting a late, i'm already three weeks into school. I actually sorta like school this year, which is huge change. Usually I am very cynical with all things to to with school, but not this year. Im still at my old school, thankfully.

Hi anonymous,
If you are doing a report on the author, Daniel Pinkwater, we can't help you; we only read his book. You could call your library and ask the Children's Librarian for some information. You can also find information on Daniel Pinwater's homepage. Good luck with your report.
