Grandfathers's Dance

Grandfather's Dance
Patricia MacLachlan continues the saga that began with Sarah, Plain and Tall. In this latest story, Grandfather's Dance, the Witting family comes together, complete with Sarah's family from the east, for the wedding of Anna and Justin. Cassie, now in fourth grade, relates the tale of preparations for the wedding, visit, and all that is going on.

Grandfather and Jack have a special relationship. Jack is the youngest of the Wittings, and is somewhat stubborn and irrascible - just like Grandfather. Even Jack is growing older though, and as the others, changing.

Cassie learns, as we all must, that change is inevitable. Just as the seasons turn, so does life bringing great joys and great sorrows. Grandfather's Dance is a celebration of the seasons of life and enduring spirit. For those who have followed the life journey of this family, this story completes the circle. Enjoy!
