Shredderman by Wendelin Van Draanen

ShreddermanYou shred man! A young boy named Nolan (a.k.a. Nerd) is struggling with a bully in school and he's not going to take it any more. After recieving an assignment to write a newspaper about an important figure in his community, Nolan has an idea. He works night and day on creating a new website called Shredderman.com that highlights all of the bad things that Bubba the bully has done. Would you be brave enough to fight a bully?

This book is entertaining and well written. A word of caution, however. Nolan skirts on the edge of bullying himself with the contents of his website. With his risky anti-bullying comics and jokes, he ends up making fun of the bully himself. I was a little disappointed with the idea of fighting bullying with online bullying. However, I like that Nolan stood up for himself.
